Nick and Norah's Infinate Playlist (Film Studies)

I actually saw this film about 3 weeks ago. It was my first time seeing it, and I loved it. All the movies that are in the box office haven't been so great in my eyes lately. The lighting in Nick and Norah's Infinate Playlist is very dark. Of course, most of the movie is taking place at night, but even when they enter buildings the rooms are dark. It makes you wonder about the room mystiriously. Now thinking about it, there was a scene that sort of had chiaroscuro lighting. It was when a girl was dancing in front of a car, and the headlights turned on to light her up. The rest of the picture was pitch black, but this girl was bright. She wasn't the protagonist, but it made you look at her differently.
