Music(:

Why do we listen to music? Is it to dance or to "relate" to the song? If you think about it, we listen to music to relieve our pain or emotions. When we hear a sad song, we some how relate to it. If we hear an upbeat song, it some how makes us upbeat. We can not help but to let music, basically, rule our life's. Music is just like dancing. They both help you with your emotions. All forms of arts helps everyone with their emotions, may it be poetry or art, they all help you.

But somehow music sets itself apart. It tends to help EVERYONE out. Music does not discriminate against race, nationality, religion, male or female. Music is music. Now maybe you might not like some music, and I understand that, TRUST me. But maybe we shouldn't. Maybe everyone should listen to ALL kinds of music, no matter what the language its sang in or it's style, just give it a try.

Last year, I would have never said this, but this summer really changed me. It was a coming of age for me. I lost a few friends, and gained some that will always be with me. This summer, my music has CHANGED for sure. Before, my iPod only had a few songs in Spanish, even though I'm a native speaker. Now, it's as if I can't stop singing in Spanish. It's pretty funny. I think more teenagers should look at different songs in different languages. As long as I can dance to the song, I'm Fine.

Actually, this summer, it's been weird, I've started liking songs in different languages, Chinese, Spanish, French, ones I don't understand. I like how it's someone singing, but to my ears, it has as much meaning as the music, where I just the emotions, not the lyrics.
