This quote is said by Antigone in the play "Antigone" by Sophocles. This quote really caught my attention. Antigone is really mad at Ismene, her younger sister, because she will not help her bury their older brother Polyneices, who got killed his brother and his brother killed him. This quote caught my attention because she is mad at her sister who will not help her with her brother. Sure they're going against their uncle, Creon, but it's their brother. This quote shows that Antigone loved her brother very much. It shows that she is loyal to him. She is willing to die for her brother. She is willing to go against her uncle's wishes and laws. This is what brotherly love is about. Protecting them no matter what, in life or in death.
